Re-thinking how UPS batteries get maintained
We're a small team building physics-grounded, AI-assisted analytics for UPS battery strings — so facility and critical-power teams can replace on condition, not on a calendar.
The world's most complete UPS battery analytics platform
A BMS is built to protect a battery moment-to-moment — not to tell you how it's aging over months and years. That gap is why strings fail without warning, and why good batteries get replaced years too early. We took on the challenge of building the tool that closes it: independent of the BMS, independent of the battery vendor, and honest about what it can and can't tell you yet.
Precision over guesswork
Physics-grounded
Models built on how batteries actually age — internal resistance, float current, and capacity fade — not black-box pattern matching.
Academically validated
Developed alongside ongoing university research into predictive battery maintenance — not a marketing claim, an active research thread.
Responsible data handling
Your telemetry is yours. We're clear about what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
UPS batteries sit behind the systems that can't go dark
Data centers
Uninterruptible really has to mean uninterruptible — a weak string discovered mid-outage is the failure mode every operator fears most.
Hospitals
Life-safety and critical-care equipment depend on backup power actually being there when the grid isn't.
Afshin Khosroshahi
Co-Founder
An engineer and AI practitioner with a background in technical sales and industrial technology, Afshin spent years working with systems where reliability meant more than performance — it meant safety and trust. At Weltrom, he leads the technical vision, combining that industry experience with a Master's in AI at ZHAW to build the predictive models at the company's core.
Bahman Kazemi
Co-Founder
A commercial leader with over 30 years of experience from ABB, Bahman built a deep, well-established network across the power and industrial technology sector. At Weltrom, he guides the commercial side of the business — partnerships, go-to-market, and customer relationships — making sure the company stays on track as it moves from research toward real-world deployment.
Farhad Vahdati
Senior Data Scientist
A data scientist specializing in machine learning, LLM-based AI systems, and geospatial and complex-systems analytics, Farhad builds dependable, physics-grounded solutions for high-stakes, data-limited problems. At Weltrom, he leads the data science work behind the predictive models that tell operators when a battery is actually going to fail, and why.
Christoph Lang
A construction machinery industry veteran and former global product manager at Hilti, Christoph is now CCO and co-founder of 4QT, where he has led software and service innovation projects and shaped go-to-market strategy for OEM partners and contractors — bringing that commercial playbook to how Weltrom reaches operators and facility teams.
Active research — in development
We're building this in the open, with early design partners. If you operate UPS fleets and want to shape what we build, we'd like to talk to you.
